- Irving G. Thalberg Award: Established in 1937, the Thalberg is the only award that is not an Oscar, it's actually a minature bronze bust of Thalberg himself. It is given to a creative producer who has been responsible for a consistently high quality of motion picture production.
- Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award: Established in 1957, the Hersholt is given to an individual in the motion picture industry whose humanitarian efforts have brought credit to the industry.
- Outstanding Juvenile Performance: Was given sporadically from 1934-1960. The award was a miniature Oscar.
- Honorary Oscar: Generally given for exceptional distinction in the making of motion pictures or for outstanding service to the Academy. The award itself is an Oscar statuette and a lifetime membership to the Academy.
