Portret Casper Van Dien

 "Facem multe greseli din cauza femeilor si întotdeauna le repetam." Erou de actiune cu maxilarul imposibil de cizelat, Casper Van Dien este candidatul ideal pentru a da viata personajelor care prefera sa actioneze decât s? vorbeasca. Actorul a facut o impresie buna publicului cu rolul din "Beverly Hills 90210" înainte de a interpreta pe cel din "James Dean: Race with Destiny" si a tine piept unui extraterestru de pe planetele mult îndepartate din "Starship Troopers". Crescut în Ridgewood, New Jersey , pe o strada denumita dupa numele strabunicului sau, Van Dien se înroleaza în Admiral Farragut Academy, însa mutându-se în Florida cu parintii îs definitiveaza studiile la Florida State University. De aici îsi urmeaza succesul în industria filmului. Si cum succesul nu vine niciodata repede la Los Angeles, expresia fotogenica a lui Van Dien i-a favorizat câstigarea unor auditii si nu a mai durat mult pâna ce rolurile în filmele de televiziune au început sa dea contur carierei de actor a tânarului Dien. Dupa ce a câstigat rolul principal în "Starship Troopers" si cel de rege al junglei în "Tarzan and the Lost City", Van Dien a trecut si în spatele camerelor, fiind producator la "Modern Vampires" din 1998. Casper s-a dedicat filmelor de televiziune si de categoria a doua, însa ocazional si-a demonstrat si umorul în câteva comedii ca "Sleepy Hollow", în ciuda expresiei de piatra pe care a afisat-o în toate filmele. Împreuna cu actuala sa sotie, Catherine Oxenberg, Dien lucreaza la numeroase proiecte cinematografice, iar trei din cei cinci copii ai lor vor înregistra vocile pentru jocul video "Starship Troopers".
